“Emma and I wanted to put pen to paper, and just say thank you again for the care and kindness you and the team showed Sophie during her time at Oak Tree. We first saw the nursery before you had even started taking children full-time and we were immediately struck by the family atmosphere and homely feel the nursery had. Sophie was only 8 months old when she joined you, and in the 2 years that that have followed we have seen here grow into a confident and talkative little girl. Her new nursery commented on her maturity within a couple of days, and that is in no small thanks to Oak Tree.” Tony, Emma
"We have been absolutely delighted from the onset with the love and care that Imogen has experienced at Oak Tree and whilst we are all very excited to begin our new life in San Francisco, we are extremely sad to say goodbye to all the staff and children at Oak Tree nursery. Imogen always has a great time here: whether she is playing with toys and equipment in the wonderful garden or finding bugs in the flower beds; making a creative mess with foam or paint; singing or dancing upstairs or scoffing down all the delicious home cooked food."
"A high level of communication and transparency seems central to all aspects of Oak Tree. As a result, both drop off and pick up are relaxed but informative affairs, which has definitely not been my experience in other nurseries. You never feel rushed or unwelcome and all staff greet you and your child with genuine warmth and affection. All questions are answered and at the end of the day you can readily find out what your child has eaten, how their mood has been, what they’ve done at nursery – even how often they’ve pooed! If you still want to know more then there are announcements on the notice boards in the entrance hall and a new newsletter for parents and carers. This is extremely reassuring as a parent. Even though you are not with your child during the day the knowledge you have about that day in some way makes you feel that you are. We can only hope that San Francisco has an Oak Tree for Imogen. "Kirsty
"I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff at Oak Tree Nursery for looking after Asa so well. Its a huge relief to me and Jay to know that there are nice, competent people looking after him, and to see how happy he is when we drop him off and pick him up. You've even persuaded him, somehow, to have a 2 hour sleep at lunchtime! It's also good to know he's eating healthy, home cooked food, and that he's spending time in the garden now the weather is picking up." It means i can go to work without worrying about whether Asa's happy, which is a big weight off my mind." Thanks, Caroline
"I wanted to thank Stacy and the team for looking after Ben yesterday. He was unwell and I know that Stacy gave up some of her lunch break to sit with him." Helen
I have my two girls (3 and 1.5yrs) at Oak Tree Honor Oak and we love it there!
My 3 year old was at another ED nursery for her first year at nursery and we made a decision to move due to poor admin, communication etc from the other nursery.
As you can imagine, it was a tough decision to make but remains one of the best childcare decisions we've ever made. The managers at Oak Tree provide a very happy environment not just for the children under their care, but for the staff. Their communication has been flawless and as you can tell, we're huge fans:-)
"Just wanted to say I really enjoyed the open day last night. It's great to see everything that Hannah gets up to when I am at work and the whole event reinforced the friendly, home from home feel that attracted us to Oak Tree in the first place. Hannah obviously really loves the nursery and we have seen her grow and develop over the past 8 months. Stacey and Mel were so good with her when she was in the baby room, and now she's really enjoying being with the older kids and Kayte and Shanice. I am very pleased we chose Oak Tree! " Regards Frances
"My son Charlie has been at Oak Tree nursery since just after he turned 2 in January 2011 and I am writing to strongly recommend the nursery to other parents. The Nursery have taken excellent loving care of Charlie and he has blossomed during his time there. One of the reasons we wanted Charlie to move to a nursery setting was our concern over his slightly delayed language development. Fatma and her team supported Charlie well through his settling in and he very quickly bonded with his outstanding key worker Angela with whom Charlie has had a consistent, loving and fun relationship with over the last year. Fatma and her team quickly noticed that Charlie might benefit from further assessment by the speech and language team and provided us with contact details for the service. They were keen to maintain strong communication with us and support Charlie's development as much as possible. When Charlie first started at Oak Tree we called it the big toy house as Charlie was so eager to play with all the toys and activities. The house is similar to our own and it has a very intimate feel, so it really felt a home from home. Charlie also enjoyed the garden greatly as they seemed to be outside in the shady garden most of the summer, either fishing in the paddling pool or bouncing on a bouncy castle on special occasions. The nursery really goes in for special events and at Halloween the nursery decorations and activities were amazing and Charlie still mentions it now." Victoria
“The staff at Oak Tree were great. They made Marianne a card when she left after her two week stint, and was even invited to join them for a trip to the museum on a day she wasn't attending. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Would use them again. The nursery staff were helpful and professional, and even made my daughter a card on her last day from all the other babies. "We just wanted to send a quick email to say how pleased we are that our son, Tom, is at Oak Tree. In particular we are delighted with how quickly Tom felt at home with Stacey, his key worker. Stacey is so kind, polite, caring and helpful and it makes it much easier for us to go to work knowing he is being so well cared for, by such a kind team of carers. Please pass on our positive comments to Stacey and the others in the baby room. " Best wishes Alice and Graham
"We'd both like to take this opportunity to thank you for the care given to both of the boys. They've been very happy there and we're both sad to leave as we've been there for so long! We'll of course come in and see you both to thank you in person"
